Add as usual. Put a decimal point (.) and a dollar
sign ($) or cent sign (¢) in the answer.
Remember to line up the decimals
Example word problem:
There is two dollars ($2.00), one quarter ($0.25), one nickel
($0.05), and two pennies ($0.02).
